UConn coach Dan Hurley addresses berating official against Butler

On Tuesday, UConn basketball coach Dan Hurley was scrutinized for berating an official in the Huskies’ 80-78 victory over Butler.

Following what he thought was a missed foul call on a defensive rebound attempt late in the first half, TV cameras caught Hurley telling an official, ‘Don’t turn your back on me; I’m the best coach in the (expletive) sport.’

After the game, Hurley took responsibility for his actions but also commented on the TV cameras following him too much and getting candid responses.

‘I just wish they put the camera on the other coach more,’ Hurley said. ‘… I just wish they would show these other coaches losing their minds at the officials in other Big East games that I’m coaching where … I’m not talking to officials; I see the other coaches as demonstrative as I am.

‘But the camera, obviously … I’ve created this for myself. I’m not the victim.’
